Knee Surgery

Hi Baby!  I had knee surgery on Wednesday.  You have definitely been acting out.  You ask Daddy several times a day when Mommy will be better, so Mommy can play with you.  You have been wetting the bed, even peed on the bathroom rug. It will be okay, I am getting stronger everyday.  You are also complaining of your knee hurting!  Good try!  You have hid one of my crutches too! - Even told me to get my sticks and go slow and come help you!

I am lost sometimes because I love you so much, and don't want to mess you up.  You are at the age where you will not mind me 50% of the time and it makes me feel that I am not raising you to be the responsible, mature adult you will be.  But you have such a love of life, are so easily succumbed to laughter, and so forgiving.

We need each other.

Easter

wow! you got so much! candy, clothes dvd's!  The easter bunny even brought you Alphie the robot!

We watched the "Tangled DVD" for the 3rd time last night.  When I explained that Rapunzel was kidnapped from her parents when she was a baby by the witch that held her captive, you looked at me and said, "Mommy, please don't let anything happen to me!"  My heart just melted!

Stubborn Jenna

You need to sleep in your own bed!  You were doing so well, and now you keep trying to sneak in bed with Mama!  Your Dad is having a fit!  You are so stubborn (just like your Mama).  When there is something you want, you go for it full steam ahead.  This will pay off later in life, but you are three, and you need to listen to Mama and Dad!

Car Accident

On Sunday, we had a car accident.  We were rear ended at a stoplight by an older woman, Anna Maxwell.  You screamed and started  to cry because you were scared!  Although, no one was hurt, thank god, but I hurt my back.  You were a trooper.  I think you bumped your head because you were jostled a little, but you were secure in your car seat.  The other driver felt so bad, and she gave you a little bottled water and some gummy snacks.  The cop gave you a lollipop, so I guess you made out okay :).

April 16 2011

I always have so much to say, but I only document the highlights.

Since yesterday, Jenna has been refereeing to herself as "baby red-feather," and I am "mama red-feather."  I think that the names have a spiritual meaning, such as guides or Team Umizumi.  Team Umizumi is Jenn's favorite cartoon.  Jenna also was intent on naming her favorite stuffed animals "Anwan."  I googled this, and it is a location in Africa.

Last evening Jenna went to preschool for 2 hours, while Mark and I went out to Chilis for dinner.

Boring Day...

Jenna had 2 icecream cones for breakfast...who does that?  Or, who allows that?  I am not feeling too well today, so I don't feel like fighting with her.  I know... I'm lame, she is three.  We raelly have nothing exciting to do today.  Well, I am going to try and put her down for a nap....that will be loads of fun...NOT!

Jenna's Escapades:

Jenna's Escapades: Jenna is at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum. This was taken during the 2011 "Cowboy Days." Jenna became an honorary cowpoke. She had such a blast doing her cowboy training, seeing the animals, and going for a carriage/wagon ride. Although, there were time that I would have liked to keep her in this jail for an extended period of time!

Today, Jenna and I went to Walmart. She saw a toy robot, "Alphie." I will mention that we are very close to Easter...I told her no, and the meltdown ensued! The entire store was our captive audience! It was so bad that several old ladies stpped to tell me how stressed that I looked, how I needed to stand my ground, and some even tried to calm Jenna! No, I didn't back down. But, the Easter bunny may bring it for her.

My tomato plant

I am so excited to be growing a mini garden!  I spotted the first tomato growing, and it is about the size of a marble.  Well it was growing until Jenna spotted it, picked it, and brought it inside to tell me, "Mama look a tomato!"  No more tomato.
